On February 26, 2025, Dehong Teachers' College held the closing ceremony for the first International Training Program on Coffee Technology Transfer of the Yunnan Provincial International Joint Laboratory for Coffee Research in the Boya Hall of Cuiyu Building, marking the successful conclusion of the three-day program. The training was organized by the Yunnan Provincial International Joint Laboratory for Coffee Research at Dehong Teachers' College, co-hosted by Dehong Yinuochun Coffee Co., Ltd. and the Dehong Prefecture Science and Technology Innovation Center, and supported by the China Coffee Engineering Research Center. Over 100 participants, including project leaders from the laboratory’s collaborating institutions and trainees, attended the program.
During the training, coffee experts from the Yunnan Provincial International Joint Laboratory for Coffee Research delivered a series of engaging activities, including special lectures on breeding technology innovation, functional compound utilization, and coffee sensory quality control techniques, as well as exchange seminars, cupping and tasting sessions, and hands-on brewing practices. The trainees actively participated, studied diligently, and engaged in in-depth exchanges, achieving fruitful learning outcomes.
Chen Zhenjia, head of the Yunnan Provincial International Joint Laboratory for Coffee Research, stated that the successful execution of the training program not only enhanced the professional skills of the participants but also established a platform for exchange and collaboration between Chinese and Indonesian coffee practitioners. He emphasized that the program strengthened international communication and cooperation in the coffee industry, providing talent and intellectual support for the development of Dehong’s coffee sector and further driving the high-quality growth of Yunnan’s coffee industry.
Su Junguo, Vice President of Dehong Teachers' College, congratulated the trainees on their successful completion of the program. He expressed hope that participants would apply the acquired knowledge and skills to their practical work, contributing to the advancement of China’s coffee industry.
